Investing in People, Ideas, and Cultural Innovation

We import more than product.

EGP Holdings helps American businesses build European luxury import into a durable part of what they do. Access to product, the operational strategy that commercializes it, and the technology that lets it scale.

What we actually do

We began by opening access to European luxury goods for American businesses. Access turned out to be where the conversation starts rather than where it ends.

What follows is a question of alignment. What a product is meant to do commercially, how it reaches a market, the financial considerations that govern it, and what has to be true operationally for any of it to hold.

Most engagements touch more than one of those. Which ones, and how far, is what an early evaluation settles.

Access and curation

European product, and European ideas about what product should be. Selected deliberately, sourced through relationships that reach well past the obvious markets.

Operational strategy

Assortment, positioning, channel, and the financial and logistical considerations that decide whether a line performs. And the sequence, which is usually what determines whether the rest works.

Goods staged for transit, ordered and labelled

On both sides of the crossing

We are present at both ends. Sources are met where they work, across Europe and beyond it. Assortment, financial considerations, and systems are assessed where the goods will be sold. The same team does both, which is why the picture reconciles.

Borders are a thoughtful logistical design choice.

Heritage is a business advantage

Our sources hold standards that predate industrial production and apply them with current design and current tools. That combination produces work which is difficult to match and difficult to fake, in quantities that can supply an American business.

Provenance only pays if it can be told. An eighteenth-century door, a house technique, a regional tradition, each carries real commercial weight, and most of that weight is lost somewhere between the origin and the product page. Carrying it through is part of the work.

Growth is where the combination breaks. Volume arrives and the standard gives way. Holding it is most of what we do.

The businesses we work with

RetailersDifferentiating an assortment with supply that holds across seasons.
E-commerce operatorsBuilding catalog depth and channel reach.
BoutiquesWhere one well-chosen line changes the character of the floor.
Distributors and wholesalersBuilding or rebuilding a European line.
Importers and suppliersAlready in the trade and looking to do more of it.

Most arrive knowing there are avenues that can improve execution and drive improved outcomes. Bringing those avenues to light is the first part of the work.

Common tools, singular alignment

The platforms, the trade mechanics, the channels. None of these are scarce, and none of them is what a business is actually buying.

What is singular is the alignment. How those instruments are configured to advance one set of objectives rather than another, against the nuances of one business. That work does not transfer from a previous client, and it is the reason engagements begin with evaluation rather than a proposal.

It starts with a conversation.

Tell us about your business and where you would like it to go. We will tell you where we are useful and where we are not.
